Eve-online is a Massively Multilayer Role Playing game. Released in 2003 its been steadily grown year on year ever since.

Eve-online is a Spaced based game, where players pilot a large number of ships. Ships can be used for any number of primary gaming tasks, there are even specialised ships to enhance the gains from select jobs.

There are three key points to Eve-online that help it sound out from the crowed of other MMOs.
Un-shareded Server: This means that ALL players of Eve-online play on the same sever, at peak times during the week this is in excess of 25 thousand players.
Real Time Skill Training: Skills in Eve, that allow piloting of ships, or use of ship modules are trained in real-time. Therefore in terms of Skills, there is no grinding for Exp.
Death: Death in Eve can really cost. Not only is the ship destroyed a random amount of the fitted modules destroyed, both that will need replacing. But also, if your unlucky you can be podded, which, if you don't have a updated clone, could result in loss of Skill Points.
